Sea buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides L.) is one of the oldest surviving plant species on earth. Grown in the barren lands of the Inner Mongolia Plateau spanning eastern Greater Khingan to Western Tengger Desert, sea buckthorn adapts to all types of extreme conditions including heat, cold, drought, sandstorms. Due to its tenacious resilience, it is often referred to as the “magical fruit.”

Historical accounts suggest that during the Yuan dynasty, Genghis Khan consumed sea buckthorn to support physical strength, making it a key contributor to the establishment of his vast territory.
