Perilla seed oil is extracted from the ripe seeds of Perilla (Perilla frutescens (L.) Britt.), an annual herbal plant belonging to the Lamiaceae family. It is a highly unsaturated natural oil containing α-linolenic acid, vitamin E, various amino acids, and minerals.
