Steviol Glycoside, also known as Stevioside or Stevia, is extracted from Stevia rebaudiana, a herbaceous plant belonging to the Asteraceae family. Native to Paraguay, South America, it has a history spanning centuries of local use as a herbal medicine and sugar substitute.

Steviol Glycoside is a glycoside characterized by extremely high sweetness, approximately 200-300 times that of cane sugar, while contributing negligible caloric value. Therefore, it is widely used as a sweetener that avoids causing excessive blood sugar fluctuations.
