Dandelion Extract

Dandelion (Taraxacum) is a plant in the  Taraxacum genus commonly found in temperate to subtropical regions. It is a prevalent wild vegetable in China with a long history of both culinary and medicinal applications, earning it the title “Queen of Herbal Medicines” in the East. Dandelion is rich in a variety of vitamins, calcium, potassium, magnesium, taraxasterol, choline, chicoric acid, and multiple amino acids, and has rich nutritional value.

Taiwan Regulatory Information 

According to the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA), the use of dandelion as a food ingredient is as follows:

  1. The maximum daily intake limit is 100 mg.
  2. When used in the form of dried powder, the daily intake limit is 10 mg.
