European Wild Garlic Powder
European wild garlic (Allium ursinum L.) is a plant in the Amaryllidaceae family, primarily grown in the forest regions of Europe. Compared to common garlic (Allium sativum), European wild garlic is characterized by a more gentle aroma and a unique phytochemical composition. It has long been regarded nutritious wild edible plant in Europe. European wild garlic is rich in vitamin A, C, B complex, and micronutrients such as zinc, magnesium, iron, manganese, and selenium. Certain nutritional components have been reported to be present at significantly higher levels than those found in cultivated garlic varieties.
Scientific studies have shown that European wild garlic can contain adenosine at levels of up to 120mg/kg. According to European folklore, freshly sprouted European wild garlic is favored by male bears emerging from hibernation. Bears consume these plants in large quantities to rapidly replenish their physical strength and maintain vitality. Observations of this natural behavior contributed to the traditional use of European wild garlic as a plant associated with seasonal nourishment and vitality maintenance.
