Psyllium Seed Husk

Psyllium is an herbal plant in the Plantaginaceae family, originally cultivated in India and Iran. Its seed husk contains natural plant fiber and is rich in cellulose and pectin, earning it the name of “kind of fiber”. Psyllium seed husk exhibits strong water absorbency and expands up to 50 times its original size when in contact with water, forming a jelly-like gel that increases satiety. When consumed with sufficient water, psyllium seed husk helps stimulate intestinal motility, supporting smoother bowel movement. Due to these properties, psyllium seed husk is commonly used in meal replacement and satiety-enhancing formulations.
