Dunaliella Salina Extract

Dunaliella salina is an unicellular alga of the Chlamydomonadales order, class Chlorophyceae, characterized by its high photosynthetic efficiency and slow growth. It is rich in various carotenoids and other active compounds, earning it the name “nature’s carotenoid complex”.

Dunaliella salina exhibits strong antioxidant properties and can effectively reduce the production of free radicals. In an animal experiment, dunaliella salina extract was shown to reduce the degree of oxidative damage in mice subjected to carbon tetrachloride-induced injury. Furthermore, its rich carotenoid content helps maintain the health of the skin and mucous membrane, supports vision in low-light conditions, and is considered a key ingredient for supporting visual health
